WMBO – World Marching Band Organization, is a non-profit organization established with the goal to be the central point of education and communication within the marching band industry. While strong in larger countries, marching band is not yet strongly recognized in some areas which WMBO envision to develop and promote more. Like sports, marching band and other performing arts have a positive impact on our community. With many existing organizations around the world, WMBO was founded with the hope to bring a unified community that helps strengthen Marching Band activities and promote personal and artistic growth.

WMBO aims to create a standard regulation that would benefit not only large organizations but also to give focus on local events. WMBO is here to assist not just with the improvement of the marching arts itself but also different aspects of activities including government involvement, event management and administrative support that will sustain and ensure success of activities and protect the performing members, instructors and everyone working within the organization.

With the effort to centralize communication and widen the network of people involved in the activity, WMBO focus is with educational development and expansion of musical knowledge that involves high degree of technical skills. To have the same level of experience in all conducted events for performing members to have opportunities on national and international competitions.

Starting with the Asian Marching Band Confederation (AMBC), the WMBO have developed a Judging System and been a trusted partner of many organizers to sanction marching band competitions. Offering different categories from Marching Field Show to Marching Street Parade and Marching Music Battle etc., we aim to provide and create a flexible range of music programs that best suit any marching band style in the area, but not to give away high standard of a competition. Organizers have wide opportunity to create a unique competition experience in partnership with WMBO.

In addition, WMBO have been conducting various marching arts program that includes workshop / seminar for music and visual design, providing training for continuous development of adjudication systems that would be beneficial to the growth of marching band competition as well as for individual performers. Providing a system that is understandable and award driven especially for young members.
